Before you buy either one
Measure the chairs you'll use. A strap-on seat only works on an adult chair that's big enough. The makers' minimums: a 13.8 x 13.8 in. seat and 10 in. back for the Pop 'N Sit, a 17 x 17 in. seat and 18 in. back for the OmniBoost.
Check weight as well as age. The Pop 'N Sit's manual stops at 33 lb; the OmniBoost has no single number from its maker. A bigger toddler may need a seat with a higher limit, like the Chicco Bento on our picks page.
Search recalls. Look up the model on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall list, and register your seat with the maker.
We haven't tested these seats ourselves. Every line above comes from what Kids2 and hiccapop publish (manuals, their sites and their Amazon listings). Neither maker pays to be on this page. The pictures are our own drawings; tap through to Amazon for real photos.
